The sugary sand beaches in Kenya paint the country as a fantastic bush and beach destination, and Elewana Afro Chic is certainly one of our favourite beach hotels to relax and enjoy the sunshine. Nestled on Diani Beach, the old-style glamour of this hotel will be a hit with families and couples alike.
Grand in structure and painted a lovely bright yellow hue, Elewana Afro Chic is certainly inspired by its beachside surroundings. We love the outdoor terrace – it’s a wonderful spot for relaxing right by the ocean, with plenty of seating for al fresco dining and a large swimming pool fit with picturesque water features.
There are 10 rooms in total, including three garden view rooms, five ocean view rooms, one junior suite, and one executive suite. The standard rooms are gorgeous, with quirky driftwood inspired furnishings and luxury amenities, whilst the junior suite’s ocean-front balcony, double bed and two daybeds are perfect for the families. The executive suite features beach-style décor, a double bed, one daybed, and room for another.
Protected by a coral reef, Diani Beach’s waters are calm and safe for a leisurely swim, whilst the shady umbrellas right by the pool is a pretty spot to while away the afternoon. If you fancy a more active trip, the hotel can arrange a myriad of water sports nearby, including snorkelling, diving, and whale and dolphin watching.
