andBeyond Matetsi River Lodge

Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe

Nestled along nine miles of private Zambezi River bank in Matetsi Private Game Reserve, the wonderfully contemporary yet classic andBeyond Matetsi River Lodge offers true style and elegance. Consisting of two camps joined by a luxurious guest area, a stay here will feel very indulgent.

Both of the camps have nine suites, including one family suite, all adopting a cool and sophisticated modern style with a hint of authentic African charm. The arty thatched walls, wooden furnishings and beautiful artwork by local Zimbabwean-born artist Helen Teede nod at the natural surroundings, whilst the cosy bed and sumptuous private veranda add a touch of luxury.

Perched in a private wildlife concession, there are plenty of incredible ways to spot wildlife here, including canoe safaris, sundowner boat cruises, fishing and game drives. However, spend an afternoon lazing by the pool or nestled in a comfy outdoor sofa and you’re likely to spot magnificent elephant and buffalo grazing by the camp. With only 25 miles between the camp and Victoria Falls, there’ll be ample opportunity to explore the natural phenomenon on a andBeyond tour.

After an exciting day of exploring, decadent food is served either in a rustic dining room, or outside under the stars. You could even enjoy your own private dinner by your secluded suite, the stars and the hanging lanterns adding a romantic glow.
