Kwetsani Camp
Okavango Delta, Botswana
Hidden away in the resplendent Jao Concession, Kwetsani Camp provides charming treehouse accommodation and the complete suite of safari activities. With prolific birdlife and an eclectic cast of resident mammals, we think it’s an excellent place to explore the diversity of the Delta.
We can’t get enough of how Kwetsani Camp blends into its surroundings. Even from a short distance you can’t see it, such is the camouflage and careful positioning in the fig and mangosteen trees. You’ll be staying in a treehouse-style chalet, with huge windows for admiring the local wildlife. There’s also a lovely verandah and both indoor and outdoor bathrooms.
Every day is individually tailored and you’ll have a wide choice of activities. Daytime and nighttime drives explore Hunda Island, where lions prowl and the leopard population is as good as anywhere in Botswana. The area surrounding the camp fluctuates with the seasons, transformed from open grasslands to flooded plains to muddy swamps. For most of the year you’ll be able to explore on the water, and whenever you visit there will be stunning concentrations of wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, and red lechwe.
If you’re looking for a varied Okavango safari then Kwetsani Camp has everything you need. And you’ll never forget the inimitability of the treehouse accommodation.
Please note: June to September is when the flooding is at its highest.
