Tilney Manor
Garden Route, South Africa
Perched amongst the shrubbery of Sanbona Wildlife Reserve – an astonishing reserve in South Africa’s semi-desert region – Tilney Manor’s bright yellowy orange architecture is a stark contrast to the rolling desert hills and bright blue sky behind it.
With six open-plan suites overlooking Little Karoo’s sweeping rugged landscapes, the stunning views of mountains and plains evoke a gorgeous, tranquil ambience. There are three separate units holding two suites each - three of the suites have a king bed, whilst the other three have two twin beds. All of the suites open out onto their own veranda, and feel wonderfully secluded.
In the main house, you’ll find a picturesque rim-flow pool, and there’s also a relaxation retreat with a steam room and sauna for that extra indulgence. After working up an appetite with exciting game drives, you can choose to tuck in to wholesome meals either outside under the stars or inside in the dining room, and the evenings are well spent in the lounge, fit with a cosy fireplace.
