Uganda Luxury Flying Safari

If the thought of a long road based safari isn't really for you, then this itinerary will give you some great inspiration. A flying safari gives you the opportunity to fly between each destination rather than by road, so you can spend more time enjoying game drives and experiencing luxury camps and lodges.

This safari idea takes in Uganda's main National Parks that are linked easily by air with local carrier Aerolink. You can tailor this itinerary as much as you like - choose your own accommodation and how long you want to stay in each National Park with our team of travel experts.

Entebbe

Start your trip with a stay in a comfortable hotel with great views over the famous lake.  With spa facilities, a golf course and a selection of restaurants this is a great way to start your trip.  Located conveniently close to Entebbe airport makes it quick and easy to get you there after arriving and back the next day to start your safari.

Overnight at Lake Victoria Serena - Bed and Breakfast

Murchison Falls

After breakfast head back to the airport where you will take a short flight to Murchison Falls airstrip.  It's worth noting straight away that baggage is limited to 15kg/33lbs for a soft bag and a small 5kg/11lbs hand luggage bag.  (Extra luggage needs can be discussed).

You will be met and taken straight on safari in your 4x4 safari vehicle.

The next day is at your leisure. You can head out for a full day's vehicle safari, two shorter drives or mix it up with some water based activities including a birding trip to the delta.

Overnight at Bakers Lodge for two nights - Full Board

Queen Elizabeth II National Park

After breakfast, head to the airstrip again for your short hop down to Queen Elizabeth National Park.

You will again be met by your driver to immediately start your safari experience that will be tailored to your desires.

The next day after breakfast you'll head out to explore Ishasha, the southern part of the park working your way north to the Kazinga Channel where you will take a water safari on a small boat to get up close and personal with hippo whilst watching a variety of wildlife drinking at the water's edge.

After a picnic lunch or heading back out after a lunch at your Lodge, head to the south western part of the park where the famous tree climbing lions can be found in the fig trees enjoying an afternoon nap

Overnight at Ishasha Wilderness Camp for two nights - Full Board

Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

After breakfast, you will take a drive through the park and then onwards to Bwindi.  Your drive will be tailored depending what wildlife you spot. If you have a successful morning you will finish your day at the lodge ready for dinner and an early night.  If you get to Bwindi earlier you could take a side trip to view the golden monkeys.

The next day you will have an early morning wake up as treks start early.  You will be given a packed breakfast and lunch with you and taken to the Gorilla Trekking station where you will be allocated your guide and gorilla family you will be seeking and watching.  We highly recommend you hire a porter to take your ruck sack for you and offer any assistance you need.

After returning back after your trek, its great to freshen up and head to the bar or fire pit to compare stories with fellow guests before a well deserved dinner.

Overnight Sanctuary Gorilla Camp for two nights - Full Board

In the morning you will be taken to the Bwindi airport for your flight back to Entebbe and your flight home or next stage of your adventure.
