Nestled within Mafia Island Marine Park on the largest island of the Tanzanian Zanzibar Archipelago, Mafia Island Lodge offers a rustic yet luxurious stay. With 34 rooms perched on Chole Bay along the south coast of Mafia Island, the views of the tropical gardens and topaz ocean are always beautiful.
The 34 rooms consist of 14 Superior Rooms, 18 Standard Rooms and two Family Rooms – two connected rooms with a veranda each. They all have gorgeous garden and ocean views, and authentic, tropical décor.
The main lounge area is a great place to relax and take in the views, as well as taking part in a spot of table tennis or volleyball – or perhaps you’d like to enjoy an afternoon of fun water sports. No matter how you spend the day, the Beach Bar offers delightful food and drink to whet your appetite at any time, whether you fancy a light bite for lunch, or a delicious sunset cocktail. The resort even has monthly dance parties, just to add to the fun.
Important information: Guests will need to pay Marine Fees at $24 (£19) per day per adult, and $12 (£9.50) per day per child.
