Warthogs and impala elegantly grazing in the lawns, the crescendo of crashing waves heard from the nearby Victoria Falls…life at Ilala Lodge is a wonderful insight into Zimbabwe’s beautiful, unspoilt landscapes. Nestled only a short walk away from the Falls and the town centre, this is the perfect spot for exploring everything this gorgeous area has to offer.

There are 56 rooms and suites altogether, all adopting a warm and sophisticated style, and featuring cosy beds and wonderful views. Those on the upper level lead out into a scenic balcony, whilst the rooms on the lower tier have double French doors that open out into the verdant gardens. The most opulent are the Executive Suites with their separate lounge areas and private patio, whilst families will love the Standard Suite Rooms located on the upper level with one king size bed, and one three-quarter size bed.

In between exciting game drives and exploring the phenomenal Victoria Falls, the Palm Restaurant offers an elegant country-home atmosphere, with a picturesque patio for dining under the stars to the soundtrack of the cascading waterfall. Authentic African flavours are used to create delicious, wholesome dishes everyone will enjoy, and the poolside bar is ideal for relaxing with a refreshing cocktail.

Perched in the heart of Zimbabwe’s tourism capital, there’ll be plenty for you to discover during your stay. Game drives, walking safaris and night drives open up to the excitement of spotting elusive wildlife, whilst a sunset cruise on the small Ra-Ikane luxury boat and a trip to Victoria Falls offers a wonderful insight into the country’s nature wonders.
