Kanga Camp

Mana Pools National Park, Zimbabwe

Perched just above the lively Kanga Pan waterhole, Kanga Camp offers incredible wildlife viewing before you’ve even embarked on a game drive. Located in Mana Pools National Park’s only private concession, we love the truly exclusive feeling of exploring your personal piece of Africa.

All of the six en-suite Meru-style tents overlook the main waterhole, offering elegantly simplistic interiors that blend perfectly with the natural beautiful surroundings. We love the rustic, open-air lounge and dining area too – it’s the ideal spot for relaxing under shady trees and watching wildlife go about their day.

The observation deck and splash pool add another touch of luxury, but our favourite moments here have been enjoying a pre-dinner cocktail by the roaring fire pit, or tucking into a romantic star-lit dinner in the dry riverbed.

The dry season is the perfect time to visit Kanga Camp. The focal waterhole is the only permanent source of water in the area at this time, meaning that a huge array of wildlife regularly saunter here for a quick drink or swim. It truly is an amazing experience watching elephants laze in the shade from the comfort of your tent.
