This safari is designed for travellers who wish to experience a super safari experience without breaking the bank, mixing site-seeing instead of a beach option and taking the opportunity to pack in as much as possible.
Travelling to Kenya, Victoria Falls and South Africa, this safari is designed to inspire ideas and is highly tailorable around your needs, so you can add on extra stops or spend longer as you desire.
This itinerary is ideal for those who wish to explore more than one country, introducing you to the incredible wildlife viewing opportunities in Kenya's National Parks, the cascading allure of Victoria Falls, and the charming coastal cosmopolitan vibes at South Africa's Cape Town.
You will be met at the airport and transported to your hotel. Catch your breath after a long flight with a convenient stop in a city hotel. Enjoy the pool, dining at the lovely restaurant and catch up on your sleep so you are ready to go in the morning. For those arriving on an early flight we can either skip this stop if you prefer or we have plenty of great things for you to do in the day.
Overnight at Crown Plaza Hotel - Bed and Breakfast
Laikipia Conservancy Areas
After breakfast, head to the nearby domestic airport for your short flight of around an hour to Loisaba, a beautiful conservancy north of Nairobi in the Laikipia county. Depending on your desires for this part of the stay we may use another nearby conservancy such as Lewa or Ol Pejeta.
You will enjoy both morning and evening game drives and if you wish you can also take guided walking safaris or horse-riding safaris.
Overnight at Elewana Loisaba Tented Camp for two nights - Full Board
Masai Mara National Park
On your last morning, have a leisurely breakfast or squeeze in one last safari drive. You will then be transported to the local airstrip for your short flight of around an hour and a half to your landing strip in the Mara. You will be met by your driver/guide and taken to your accommodation for lunch and check in.
You will receive both morning and afternoon game drives as well as the option of walking trips. In between you can relax on the deck or by the pool enjoying the magnificent vistas.
The Governors Balloon Aviation offer the best flightpath in the Mara and a spectacular breakfast in the bush – an opportunity not to be missed that will provide some of your best memories of your trip
Overnight at Governors Camp for three nights - Full Board
After a morning game drive head back for breakfast. You will then be taken to the airstrip for your short flight back to Nairobi Wilson Airport.
You will be met by your driver and taken to Giraffe Manor to see where you can view and feed the resident Rothschild giraffes. A short drive will then take you onto Karen Blixens Café for lunch before arriving at your hotel for the night.
Overnight at Crown Plaza Hotel - Bed and Breakfast
An early start is needed for your flight from Nairobi to Victoria Falls. Your driver will ensure you are taken door to door. Your direct flight will have you at Victoria Falls for lunch time.
You will be met at the airport and taken to your hotel. It’s a chance to relax and unwind after a busy schedule. The hotel is situated extremely close to the falls so from the gardens or pool area you will see the “smoke” and hear the thunder of the falls.
Included in your stay is entrance to the falls and you can enjoy a self-guided short walk through the gardens down to the entrance to explore the footpaths and view the falls at your leisure.
There is plenty else to do around here from hikes to horse riding and rail journeys to canoe trips along the mightly Zambezi. So if you have extra time for this part of your itinerary it’s the perfect place to extend and book up some exciting things to do.
Overnight at Royal Livingston Resort for two nights - Full Board
On your last morning you have an early breakfast al fresco listening to the falls before heading back to the airport for your flight to Cape Town.
On arrival you will be met and transferred to your hotel for check in.
Many guests are happy to self guide themselves around the city, but to make the most of your time we recommend that we book up your activities for you to avoid disappointment. There is a wealth of choice such as a visit to Robben Island to see where Nelson Mandela along with other political prisoners were detained, the District Six museum or maybe just a trip to the winelands is more your thing.
Overnight at Winchester Mansions for three nights - Bed and Breakfast
On your final day we will transfer you back to Cape Town airport for your onwards journey.
Many guests will be satisfied with this great itinerary but if you are lucky enough to have a little extra time an onwards trip to the Kruger area for a final safari is recommended. If you would prefer a more relaxed scenery and culinary experience then an escorted tour or self drive along the Garden Route is incredibly memorable. Alternatively squeeze in a safari experience in Botswana's Chobe National Park and Okavango Delta between your Victoria Falls and Cape Town section.
