Singita Pamushana Lodge
South Zimbabwe & Gonarezhou National Park, Zimbabwe
Meaning ‘a place in the sun’, Singita Pamushana Lodge is a unique and flamboyant luxury lodge nestled in the verdant acacia woodlands of the Malilangwe Wildlife Reserve, close-by to the luxuriant Gonarezhou National Park.
You’ll love the décor here – we’ve truly seen nothing like it in Africa before. Inspired by the lively culture of the local Shangaan people, the lodge is brimming with bright colours and loud patterns. The rough-hewn public area is decorated with bright red, blue and yellow sofas and chairs, overlooking two gorgeous swimming pools and the dam that winds below the hills.
There are seven suites in total, consisting of four one-bedroom suites, two family suites – one sleeping four, the other sleeping six – and one five-bedroom villa retreat. Each suite features a double bed covered in vibrant duvets and cushions, walls painted with indigenous art, and a comfy decking area with a private plunge pool and stunning views of the baobab adorned landscapes.
This is by far one of the best places for a walking safari - Zimbabwe guides are well renowned as the best in Africa, undergoing years of training to ensure you’re safe as you explore. Not only will you come across impressive wildlife, including black rhino and eagles, but there are 83 breath-taking rock art sites to discover, too. After a fantastic walking safari and game drive, laze by your private pool, or embark on a beautiful sunset cruise along the dam.
