Winelands
A couple of nights in the Cape Winelands is Africa's ultimate sensual getaway. With over 500 beautiful vineyards draped across the dramatic granite-strung valleys, the Winelands is a destination we always want to return to.
Visiting the vineyards.
There’s always a new vineyard to discover and a fresh experience to try in the Winelands. A premier destination in South Africa, a stay here is incredibly luxurious no matter which vineyard you visit. Valleys abundant in vineyards and wineries stretch from the Cape Overberg, through Little Karoo and the West Coast, all the way to the Northern Cape Province, all offering wonderful afternoons of wine tasting in the sunshine. There are plenty of routes we can’t wait for you to try, but Route 62 is perhaps the most iconic, and is said to be the world’s longest wine route.
Exploring Stellenbosch
Nestled between the Cape Winelands, the charming town of Stellenbosch is a firm favourite with wine connoisseurs. Full of lavish wine tasting venues, gourmet restaurants and opulent accommodation, this is certainly a destination for those really hoping to indulge. Walk all the food and wine off and visit the beautiful boutiques and art gallery, taking in the warming sunshine.
It’s not all about the wine.
Close to the collision of the Indian and Atlantic oceans, you'll discover some of the world's best whale watching in Hermanus, as well as thrilling great white shark escapades in Gansbai. You could even head inland through the picturesque mountains, and we're big fans of the arid Karoo landscape and the ostrich outpost of Oudtshoorn. All of these wonderful destinations are close by to the Winelands, and best finished with a glass of sumptuous South African wine.
Luxurious accommodation.
The luxury accommodation in the Winelands is amongst the finest on the continent, and we’ve picked out the best of the best that we know all of our customers will love. Give us a call and we can help create a bespoke itinerary through the Winelands, or even a brilliant multi-centre from Cape to Kruger.
