Busanga Bush Camp

Kafue National Park, Zambia

Hidden amongst gigantic sycamore fig trees, Busanga Bush Camp is a beautifully rustic camp offering dramatic sunsets, amazing wildlife, and authentic African charm. We love the early mornings when the mist eerily rises from the plains – it makes for a spectacular view.

Exclusive and intimate, there are only four en-suite tents, all adopting a traditional Meru-tent style and simple furnishings. With their own veranda overlooking the plains, these tents are very romantic, and the solar power and authentic decor will truly take you back to nature.

The cosy lounge and bar areas are hidden under canvas, offering an open-air space to relax and watch the wildlife graze. We love the alfresco dining area – nestled underneath a large lantern-adorned tree, this is perfect for an idyllic star-lit dinner.

From the buffalo and wildebeest in the wet season, to the sable and zebra in the dry season, the wildlife is incredible all year round. No matter what time you visit, there’s no doubt you’ll spot the resident lion prides, which regularly roam the plains and climb high in the trees.
