Sanctuary Chichele Presidential Lodge

South Luangwa National Park, Zambia

Step back into a time of grandeur and colonial style at Sanctuary Chichele Presidential Lodge, a grand affair built back in the 1970’s for President Kenneth Kaunda. Nestled in the leopard abundant South Luangwa Park, we love the touch of historic class that is evoked here.

There are 10 suites altogether, all adopting classy Victoria-style interiors and an expansive terrace overlooking the sweeping valley. Carefully restored to maintain its elegant colonial style, all of the tents feature a four poster bed, French doors, and understated décor. Two of the suites are interconnecting, ideal for large families.

Afternoons are well spent in the trendy lounge area, offering a cosy fireplace and a cool bar area to socialise and talk about your exciting game drives. We love opulent dining area, and the expansive decking that offers star-lit al fresco dinners, high teas, and beautiful sundowners.

South Luangwa National Park is abundant in incredible endemic animals, including Thornicroft's giraffe and Crawshay's zebra, as well as a myriad of elephant, leopard and lion, perfect for game drives full of impressive sightings.
