Mchenja Camp

South Luangwa National Park, Zambia

Incredible predator sightings and sweeping views of the Luangwa River is just the beginning when it comes to Mchenja Camp. Nestled underneath a canopy of ebony trees along the banks of the river, this camp adds an elegant touch to the remote surroundings.

With only five octagonal tents, seclusion and intimacy is key here. All of the tents have neutral, minimalist décor that enhances the wilderness and creates a classic safari feel, and we love the stand-alone bath that looks out onto the river.

The lodge also evokes a sense of safari chic, with woven walls, a thatched roof, and comfortable dark wood furnishings. Built around an old fallen ebony tree, it’s an ideal spot to watch wildlife roam, whilst sumptuous dinners are best enjoyed under the stars and along the riverbank.

We always relish a tailored, personal experience whilst on safari, and you’ll be sure to enjoy that here at Mchenja Camp.
