Bilimungwe Bushcamp

South Luangwa National Park, Zambia

Bilimungwe Bushcamp offers one of the most natural, rustic lodges we’ve ever discovered. Nestled in South Luangwa National Park and surrounded by three wildlife abundant waterholes, this wonderful oasis is beautifully inspired by its untouched surroundings.

With locally handcrafted furniture, open-fronted thatched chalets and woven walls, the natural materials feel like you’re truly living in the wilderness. There are only four raised rooms, all of which evoke a bright, welcoming ambience and overlook the vast forest-clad landscapes, with vibrant African textiles and a private terrace.

The main lounge, bar and dining area are just as rustic and charming, perched under a gigantic mahogany tree and offering a cosy yet contemporary spot to watch incredible wildlife graze by the water’s edge. We love the traditional boma too, perfect for swapping exciting stories under the stars.

This is a true nature-lover’s paradise, and there are plenty of opportunities to see magnificent animals, from walking safaris to night drives. The camp’s resident guide Manda Chisanga offers an award winning service, so you can be rest assured that you’ll always have the most incredible safari experiences possible.

The exciting new star deck at Bilimungwe is complete with a telescope making it a great place to observe the constellations and learn about them through your specialist guide.
