Luangwa River Camp
South Luangwa National Park, Zambia
Sat along Luangwa River’s peaceful trail of ox bow lagoons and riverine woodland, Luangwa River Camp offers an intimate setting amidst some of Zambia’s most luscious landscapes. With only five brick and thatch suites, your stay here is wonderfully secluded and personalised.
The suites feel as if you’re relaxing in your own little cottage, with minimalist yet traditional African-style décor and large sliding doors that open out onto your own little decking area. The sunken baths feel very indulgent after a long day of game drives, and you’ll be sure to spot elusive wildlife whilst you relax in your bed.
The main area is just as simplistic, yet still luxurious with its double plunge pool connected by a pretty waterfall, and an open-plan bar area that looks over the endless plains of South Luangwa National Park.
Overlooking the wildlife abundant area known as Luangwa Wafwa, you’ll be graced with plenty of incredible animal sightings, from gruff elephant and buffalo, to majestic leopard, lion and giraffe. It’s not just game drives allowing you to discover everything the National Park has to offer. From exciting night drives and seasonal boat safaris, to visiting local villages and markets, you’ll be fully immersed into Africa’s rustic charm here.
