Kapamba

South Luangwa National Park, Zambia

Surrounded by South Luangwa National Park’s incredibly rich wildlife, Kapamba is a gorgeous luxury tented lodge teaming authentic safari vibes with luxurious amenities. Remotely nestled by Kapamba River, a stay here is always full of incredible animal sighting no matter where you’re relaxing.

There are four open-fronted guest chalets, all with white-washed walls, African-style décor, and double sized sunken baths that look out onto the river – bliss. Two of the chalets feature two queen size beds, whilst the other two feature one king size bed. The open fronts are covered by a pretty iron wrought in the evenings.

Nestled under sausage and matumi trees, there are plenty of shady outdoor lounging and dining areas to sit back and watch the world go by. We love the plunge pool too – it’s such a humbling feeling watching elephants graze in the river as you relax in the water. Spending the evening sipping a G&T whilst perched on a beanbag right next to the river is a luxury we always keep coming back for.

The game drives here are phenomenal, and we find the best way to finish off a day of wildlife spotting is by enjoying a drink in the shallows of the river.

Kapamba is one of only two camps open from April to January in this area.
