Chindeni Bush Camp
South Luangwa National Park, Zambia
Lazing in your hammock on your private veranda, overlooking the peaceful lagoon where a hippo wallows and an elephant takes a drink, you’ll feel as if you’ve found a remote paradise in Chindeni Bush Camp. Nestled along the edge of a permanent lagoon in the southern part of South Luangwa National Park, with the Chindeni Hills as its backdrop, this camp is truly tranquil and beautiful.
There are only four tents, offering a lovely secluded atmosphere, and providing you with a desirably personal experience. The tents have a unique build and are very spacious, featuring either a king size or two queen beds, a small cosy lounging area, minimalist décor, and en-suite bathroom, and a raised veranda with a hammock.
The main mess area is very simplistic, using its rustic décor to immerse you in the camp’s natural, unspoilt surroundings. The lounge and dining area are located on a gorgeous tiered decking area surrounded by soaring ebony trees and looking over the lagoon, with a comfy sofa area and long dining table shaded by big marque-style tents. There’s also a fully stocked bar area, so you can sip on an exquisite G&T whilst watching wildlife graze by the lagoon’s edge.
The lagoon entices many wildlife, so you’ll be sure to spot a few as you dine or relax, however the camp’s walking safaris, game drives and night drives pull you even closer to the park’s incredible creatures.
