The Royal Livingstone Resort
Livingstone, Zambia
Transport back to the luxurious colonial era at The Royal Livingstone Resort. Named after the well-known explorer who named Victoria Falls in honour of his queen, we love this lodge’s elegant nod to this incredible Victorian era.
There are 173 rooms and suites altogether, all adopting a classy style with colonial furnishings. All of the rooms have a gorgeous private veranda overlooking the plains, and consist of lavish deluxe and deluxe corner rooms, Livingstone Suites with a separate lounge and wet bar, and the opulent Presidential Suite that has housed royalty and celebrities.
The gardens here are truly spectacular. Overlooking the Zambezi River, enjoy some relaxation time while zebra and giraffe roam freely and graze. Victoria Falls is nicknamed Mosi-oa-Tunya, meaning 'the smoke that thunders', and with this beautiful attraction less than a mile away from the gardens, you'll be able to faintly hear the thunder and see the clouds of mist that gave it this nickname. The edge of the property runs along the entrance to the Victoria Falls viewing areas, and you'll have complimentary access to the falls alongside a wealth of exciting activities including white water rafting and rail experiences.
From delicious high teas in The Travellers Bar, to leisurely afternoons by the pool and rejuvenating massages in the waterfront gazebo, you’ll certainly feel like royalty during your stay at this picturesque lodge.
