Zambezi Queen

Chobe National Park, Botswana

Peacefully gliding along the Chobe River, Zambezi Queen is a sophisticated and elegant boutique floating lodge, offering sumptuous cuisine, luxurious suites and wonderful views of the wildlife that graze by the banks.

There are 10 standard suites and four master suites, all featuring air conditioning and a private balcony offering uninterrupted views of the verdant river banks. Wake up in the morning and you may be greeted with the sight of an elegant drinking by the water’s edge, or chill out on the balcony in the afternoon sunlight and you may spot a stealthy crocodile skimming through the water.

Moving along 25km of the Chobe River, every day brings a new vantage point and more incredible creatures to see, offering a truly unique experience that blends modern luxuries with a sense of being at one with nature. Buffalo, elephant, lion, leopard and prolific birdlife regularly graze the river banks, and one of our favourite pastimes is cooling down on the pool deck and watching the world go by.

The houseboat has three decks – the upper deck is home to the lounge, dining area and pool deck, whilst the middle and lower decks feature the beautiful suites. There are also smaller boats perfect for river safaris, giving you the opportunity to get a close-up look of Chobe’s wonderful wildlife. Renowned South African fashion designer Jenni Button designed the elegant interiors, using neutral tones and simplistic furnishings to keep emphasis on the natural world just outside your luxury suite.

The Zambezi Queen also offers Photographic Safaris, consisting of a small boat with camera mounts and 360-degree swivel chairs perfect for capturing up-close photos of spectacular animals.
