Little Vumbura Camp

Okavango Delta, Botswana

Surrounded by water, Little Vumbura provides an intimate big game experience in the exclusive Vumbura Reserve. Gaze out over the floodplains as lion prides battle with buffalos, admire hippos from dugout, wooden mokoro canoes, then absorb the drama of the Okavango’s premier predator spotting destination.

No two days are the same at Little Vumbura and we love the variety of safari experiences on offer. Vast floodplains are packed with grazers; they’re lush and green in winter, yet shallow and shrivelling later in the year. Thanks to permanent water channels, you can always enjoy the charms of a boat safari. Large tracts of woodland and riverine forest bring new delights, like elephants bulldozing paths and giraffe elegantly skipping past.

Most of all, we love the variety of predators. Very few places in Africa have such excellent sightings of lion, leopard, cheetah, and wild dog. There are so many, so close to the camp, that the guided walks often have to be postponed.

Little Vumbura has premium prices, mostly due to the quality of the guided safari activities and the animal abundance found in Vumbura Reserve. Secluded and comfortable, the camp helps to maximise your immersion in the wild, rather than offer added luxuries. Tents are raised on wooden decks and the viewing decks brings sights throughout day and night.

Little Vumbura has a complimentary Bush Buddies program for families. This provides exciting activities for children aged six and upwards and is tailored individually to each family.
