Okuti Camp

Okavango Delta, Botswana

Elegantly situated in the middle of Moremi Game Reserve, Okuti Camp stands at the heart of the Okavango wildlife experience. Wild dogs and big cats roam past, elephants and buffalos are seen in their hundreds, while the varied habitats help you uncover the subtle secrets to the Delta.

You’ll spend the days combining game drives and motorboat cruises, each ideal for exploring the beautiful range of resident wildlife. The abundance is staggering and sometimes we’ve found it hard to know which way to look. Even from the private verandah at Okuti Camp you won’t be short of intimate wildlife sightings.

Most of the camp is raised on wooden platforms, with elevated walkways that ensure you’re above the freely roaming animals. Each of the seven spacious chalets provides a glorious view over the Xakanaxa Lagoon, fully immersing you in the classic Okavango tones. There’s also a cosy lounge and small plunge pool, more spectacular places for watching local wildlife.

The camp doesn’t have its own concession and is set in the game reserve. While that limits the activities somewhat, it also provides a price tag that’s much lower than camps of a similar quality. For plentiful wildlife experiences in the heart of the Delta, you really can’t go wrong at this excellent value camp.
