A Taste of Uganda Safari
If you are time short and want to experience the cultural and wildlife elements of Uganda, this itinerary will be perfect for you.
This road safari is recommended for those who have been on safari in other more mainstream locations and fancy a relatively short safari in a more authentic environment. We cover a lot of ground in this trip so you may well need some beach or a wind down hotel at the end of it. We're very flexible - it's easy to tailor-make this itinerary to your individual needs, so be sure to give our experts a call.
Entebbe
Start your trip with a stay in a comfortable local guest house. Depending on your flight time, you might have time to explore a little and have a meal at one of the local restaurants, or if you prefer just recover from your flight by the pool and have a nice meal at the hotel.

Murchison Falls
An early start is needed as we have a lot of ground to cover. It’s a great opportunity to get to know your personal driver/guide and ask as many questions as you like about the country, culture and wildlife.
Head north to the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary where you will have lunch at the Amuka Safari Lodge and get to trek with the white rhino with a local guide – the only rhino in Uganda.
Continue your journey north for another hour or so until you enter the National Park and your safari drive starts on route to your hotel.
Arrive at your hotel after your afternoon/evening game drive.
In the morning head out for a game drive in the north of the park crossing over on the small ferry to view the huge giraffe herds and seek elephant and buffalo amongst other great game before heading back for lunch.
In the afternoon take a river trip where you can view wildlife by the waters edge and if you feel energetic enough you take take a hike up alongside the famous water falls that Murchison Falls is named after.

Semuliki National Park
An early start is needed as quite a rural drive is ahead of you giving you the opportunity to see real villages and farers in action along the way.
Arrive in time for an afternoon game drive. Depending on your preference you can seek mammals, birds or apes – your diver will tailor to your desires.
Overnight at Semliki Safari Lodge - Full Board
Queen Elizabeth II National Park
After breakfast, head south to the vast Queen Elizabeth II National Park.
Take in an afternoon and evening game drive exploring this northern park of the park.
The next day after breakfast, head out to explore Ishasha, the southern part of the park. It is in this area where you will find the famous tree climbing lions who love to seek shelter from the heat and flies in the fig trees found in this area. You will also take a water based safari in the Kazinga Channel joining Lake George and Lake Edward. You will be able to see hippo up close as well as plenty of larger mammals drinking at the channels edge.
Overnight at the Mweya Safari Lodge for two nights - Full Board
Lake Mburu National Park
After breakfast head to this small but charming park. You will see a good range of herbivores including the only zebra to be found in Uganda. If you are lucky you may get to see one of the illusive leopard especially as you can safari quite late due to the lodge location.
Overnight Mihingo Lodge - Full Board
In the morning head to the airport for your journey home or next leg of your journey. Depending on flight times it can be fun for a brief stop in Masaka as it is right on the Equator making for a great photo opportunity.
