Nestled on its own rainforest-clad island, Wildwaters Lodge’s picturesque location is only one of many reasons why this is our favourite lodge in Jinja. We just can’t get enough of the feeling of being in the heart of the wilderness.
Located right next to the river Nile’s winding rapids, you’ll always have an amazing view as you tuck into breakfast on the main veranda, before spending an afternoon taking part in exciting water sports or dipping into the gorgeous pool adorned with large, natural boulders.
There are only 10 rooms altogether, all hidden in the depths of the forest to create an intimate, secluded ambience. The handmade furniture adds a charming touch, whilst each private veranda hosts an incredible view. We always feel adventurous when walking through the forest-lined walkway to the restaurant and bar area, perfect for dining and relaxing under the stars.
Of course, being so close to the Nile’s rumbling rapids means days are full of excitement and exhilaration. From wild water rafting to kayaking, the whole family will enjoy a stay here, though those wanting to simply relax can do so easily, too.
