Mahogany Springs
Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, Uganda
Arriving at Mahogany Springs, you immediately feel you have found a little oasis of luxury in an already spectacular setting. However once you into the lounge area past the extremely large and well stocked bar you realise its even more spectacular.
The main building is designed extremely stylishly. The spacious restaurant and lounge lead to the veranda with great views onto the mountains. The beautiful glass panels and doors leading to the veranda give perfect uninterrupted views of the mountains whilst also closing over at night to keep all guests warm and cosy with the large fireplace lit for extra comfort too.
The Suites are spacious but minimally furnished. They have a large bathroom and a private terrace looking towards the mountain. A nice feature is the wrap around mosquito net, good to use but more for a nice touch as so high and cool here.
The service is first rate so we definitely recommend the lodge for a luxurious stay. The rooms are not quite in keeping with the ultra luxurious feel of the main building, but you will not be disappointed. The lodge is not far from the main Bwindi gates so easy access in the morning to get ready for your trek.
Note: Gorilla Permits are extra from $450-650 per trek depending on time of year which will be secured at the time of booking as they are limited
You must be over 16 to trek.
