Mweya Safari Lodge

Queen Elizabeth National Park, Uganda

This is one of the larger lodges we feature in Uganda, but don’t be put off by this as it is in a fantastic spot ideal for a boat trip on the Kazinga Channel.

Connecting Lake George and Lake Edward, this boat trip is our most highly recommended thing to do in the northern section of the Queen Elizabeth National Park thanks to its abundance in magnificent hippo and elephant.

The property feels more like a hotel in a safari setting than a lodge. The main building is quite large and has a large dining room and a large bar area, making the property feel more like a hotel in a safari setting. We love the large pool and pool deck thanks to its beautiful view of the channel.

Rooms come in quite a variety from the more budget, but conveniently located standard rooms, to deluxe rooms and also a variety of tents and suites.  However we feel for the usual one night stop here the deluxe rooms are perfect with air-conditioning and a balcony or terrace offering a comfortable stop to enjoy this area of Uganda.
