Chem Chem Safari Lodge
Tarangire National Park, Tanzania
Nestled within the private Burange Wildlife Management Area between Tarangire and Lake Manyara, this gorgeous lodge evokes a sense of intimacy and exclusivity. We love the rural décor here, consisting of a unique mix of canvas, wood, and lava stone.
There is only eight tent-style suites altogether, including a family suite consisting of two suites connected by a wooden bridge. The vintage safari décor is utterly charming, with lovely neutral and khaki colours, whilst each tented room offers a gorgeous view over Lake Manyara.
The main mess area is truly spectacular. Inspired by the shape of a flamingo with its wings spread out, the architecture offers a unique touch. One wing is home to a brilliant restaurant full of gourmet cuisine and a cosy outdoor campfire area, whilst the other has a cool bar, homely lounge, and a fantastic library.
The views here are incredible, and where better to see them than in the Eagle’s Nest viewing tower with its unbeatable panoramic views. There’s even a picturesque pool hidden amongst the shady trees, and should you fancy a run around the grounds, a Maasai warrior will join you.
