Serengeti National Park, Tanzania
Offering endless views and magical wildlife, Mbali Mbali Seroi Serengeti Lodge is idyllically situated in the Serengeti’s Western Corridor. Watch wildebeest from an infinity pool, admire giraffe silhouetted along the horizon, and find yourself in a truly mystical part of Africa.
This is one of the park’s newest developments and there’s a real sense of contemporary luxury. Thatched chalets have serene viewing decks and glass walls, helping you appreciate the Serengeti grasslands at every moment. They’re linked by raised wooden walkways and we love looking down at a grazing zebra or buffalo herd.
Atmospheric and spacious, the main part of the lodge is split over many levels, ensuring there’s always a private place to drink and dine. Seroi Serengeti is a very good choice for those who want to discover the beauty of the Serengeti without jumping too far out of your comfort zone. There’s an elevated level of comfort and we’re always impressed by the service and hospitality.
Game drives will explore the Western Corridor, which is on the traditional route of the great wildebeest migration during April and May. Resident cats and hippos will be the mainstay of the safari and we’re always impressed by how much you can see in a small area. While we’d recommend Seroi Serengeti as a standalone, it’s also perfectly complemented by two nights in a tented camp on the central Serengeti plains.
The great wildebeest migration passes through the Western Corridor in April and May, although sometimes also in March or June.
