Singita Sabora Tented Camp

Serengeti National Park, Tanzania

Reminiscent of 1920’s explorers, Singita Sabora Tented Camp is inspired by the nostalgic romance of this time, offering an opulent contrast to the rugged landscapes of the Singita Grumeti in northern Serengeti.

We love the wistful décor here. As soon as you arrive in the lounge tent you’re transported back in time to lavish yet rustic furnishings, from deep red rugs and mustard furniture, to brass candle chandeliers, decorative cushions, and sweeping curtains that frame the clear canvas overlooking the grassy savannah.

The nine canvas tents are just as romantic, featuring a double bed, various patterned rugs and cushions, old-style lanterns, an en-suite bathroom, and even a few old-fashioned luggage cases in the corner to add to the nostalgic charm.

Fancy dinnerware merges with safari-style furniture and décor in the dining area. We’ve enjoyed many fresh, delicious dishes here, as well as on the expansive terrace that leads on to the never-ending plains.

Right out on the open plain, Sabora beautifully contrasts the incredible, unspoilt nature of the Serengeti’s savannah, filled with wonderful wildlife including black rhino, giraffe, lion, and elephant.

Serengeti Migration viewing is from June – July.
