Elewana Tarangire Treetops
Tarangire National Park, Tanzania
The one-of-a-kind Elewana Tarangire Treetops lodge is not to be missed when visiting Tarangire National Park. Nestled in the bordering Randilen wildlife management area, we love the feeling of childhood nostalgia when staying in these luxury tree houses.
Built around a gigantic baobab tree, the 20 rooms are truly spectacular and special. Each room is raised on stilts to give you phenomenal views above the verdant canopies, the rustic wooden décor creating a true treehouse vibe that feels tranquil and secluded. All rooms feature a double bed and a modern en-suite bathroom.
The lounge and dining area is beautiful too. The large veranda looks out onto the never-ending hills adorned with baobab trees, and the swimming pool offers a peaceful place to watch wildlife roam by the watering hole.
There are plenty of activities at this wonderful lodge, our favourite being spotting elusive nocturnal wildlife like porcupines and leopards on an impressive night drive. With wonderful sunsets and sunrises, contemporary décor inspired by the natural surroundings, and amazing views of the annual elephant migration, this is an African adventure at its finest.
