Nimali Tarangire

Tarangire National Park, Tanzania

Authentic African experiences are rife at Nimali Tarangire. Hidden away in a private concession, we love how serene and secluded this rustic-luxe lodge feels compared to others in Tarangire National Park. Instead of a mass of vehicles, you'll share the plains with curious elephants that regularly saunter to the waterhole closeby to this luxury tented lodge.

The isolated location will make you feel like the only person in the world. Hidden by baobab trees and sat along a dry riverbed, the landscape is pure unspoilt beauty.

The eight tents, including 2 family rooms, are spacious, with minimalist yet modern décor, lovely wooden floors, a private terrace, and a contemporary bathroom. The lounge area is gorgeous too, with plenty of comfortable seating that looks out onto the acacia tree filled landscape. Nimali really hones in on the pleasure of getting back to nature, and the al fresco dining areas are perfect for feasting under the stars - especially in the rustic boma with its cosy campfire.

We love that the entire camp is solar powered, adding to its rustic charm. Located in one of the quieter areas of Tanzania, Nimali offers an authentic experience where it’s only you, your guide and the animals, including majestic elephant, lion, impala, and even rare fringe eared oryx – just the way we like it.
