Namiri Plains

Serengeti National Park, Tanzania

It’s just you and the big cats at the exclusive Namiri Plains luxury tented camp. Once a cheetah conservancy off-limits to tourists, the Namiri Plains are now thriving with incredible wild cats, making this one of our favourite places to see lion, leopard, cheetah, and more.

Surrounded by jaw-dropping flat plains adorned with towering rocks, the Namiri Plains camp offers a truly unique landscape that will leave you in awe. We love embarking on a walking safari with the expert guides – you’ll regularly perch on one of the rocks and watch the remarkable wildlife roam by.

Each of the eight tents feature a king size bed, an en-suite bathroom, an outdoor shower, and contemporary furnishings with a touch of authentic African charisma. The only camp in this particular area of the Serengeti, you’ll feel like the only people on earth as you enjoy your private hideaway amongst some of Africa’s most impressive landscapes and wildlife.

The wildlife here in amazing all year round, but our favourite time to visit is during the wildebeest migration from November to June – the plains truly come alive during this time.

Migration viewing is from November to June.
