Serengeti Safari Camp

Serengeti National Park, Tanzania

One of the first of its kind, we love Serengeti Safari Camp’s simplistic charm, adding an authentic yet cosy touch to mobile camping. Moving alongside the incredible wildebeest migration, you’ll really feel like you’re out in the wild with an amazing front row seat to one of Africa’s greatest spectacles.

Creating as little environmental impact as possible whilst still offering a brilliant place to stay is no mean feat, but Serengeti Safari Camp does so flawlessly, creating a comfortable home-away-from-home vibe, yet still using eco-friendly materials and simple décor.

There is only six meru-style tents altogether, which means you’ll enjoy a truly intimate off-the-grid experience. With an ensuite bathroom, a double bed, and even a small outdoor seating area overlooking the plains, each tent is utterly charming. One of the tents is a family tent, featuring two bedrooms and a lovely seating area.

The main open-air mess tent is very welcoming, featuring a wonderfully traditional safari lounge and idyllic dining area. There’s even a small library and bar tent nearby, perfect for toasting a brilliant day of wildlife spotting. The camp moves every two months and always offers some of the best seats in the house when it comes to watching the phenomenal migration roam past.

Serengeti Safari Camp moves with the migration, starting in the southern plains and gradually making its way north in two month stints.
