Singita Explore

Serengeti National Park, Tanzania

There’s no better way to experience a safari than completely shutting off from the outside world, making the exclusive-use Singita Explore one of our favourite places to get away from the daily grind, experience every ounce of Africa’s charm, and take in the natural beauty of the world.

Nestled in the Singita Grumeti conservancy in Serengeti National Park, this private use camp gets back to basics, yet offers a more well-appointed take on ‘roughing it’ in the wild. The six one-bedroom tents embrace the surrounding nature, merging traditional Africa textures and colours with more contemporary furnishings. Each tent features a double bed, an en-suite bathroom, a small terrace, and clear canvas windows overlooking the plains.

The lounge tent is minimalist yet comfortable, with plenty of seating areas and wonderful views of the surrounding landscapes. Our favourite part of the camp in the al fresco dining area, close-by to a roaring campfire where you can spend dusky nights toasting marshmallows and talking about your game drives that day.

With no WiFi and barely any phone signal, you’ll certainly feel at one with nature, whilst having your own private guide, chef and camp staff will still provide those valuable creature comforts. We love that your whole experience here is completely catered to you – it’s your choice on when and how long you’ll go on game drives, though plenty of game will roam right by your tents, too.

Migration viewing is from June.
