Clifftop Exclusive Safari Hideaway

Madikwe Private Game Reserve, South Africa

Hidden within a verdant forest full of kudu-berry and velvet leaf bushwillows, Clifftop Exclusive Safari Hideaway is a romantic, secluded hideaway perfect for getting back to nature. Perched on an incredible gorge overlooking the Sterkstroon River within Welgevonden Game Reserve, the views here always take our breath away.

With the gentle sounds of the wild as your soundtrack, we’re certain you’ll feel truly tranquil and serene during your stay here. The eight suites are beautiful, featuring rustic décor created with natural materials, from the large tree trunk tables, all the way down to the distressed branch towel racks. Each suite has its own cosy lounge area, with glass-to-ceiling glass French doors that open out onto a large deck fit with an indulgent plunge pool. There’s even a private sala too, which overlooking the river gorge.

The main mess areas will soothe your soul too, from the infinity edge swimming pool and lounge with a toasty fireplace, to the indoor and outdoor dining areas perfect for feasting on fresh fare. We love the vista deck – there’s something so lovely about nestling into one of the hanging chairs and chatting by the outdoor fire pit.

Found within a game reserve, this luxury lodge will grace you with plenty of magnificent wildlife sightings, from hippo and elephants grazing by the river, to giraffes venturing their way through the trees.
