Nestled high up in a rocky outcrop within Makuleke Contractual Park, we couldn’t help but fall in love with The Outpost’s wide open spaces and phenomenal views. Located in the remote and unspoilt northern region of Kruger National Park, you’ll be the only people for miles.
The 12 en-suite Luxury Spaces are truly spectacular, with sleek and contemporary decor. Our favourite part is the three open walls, providing the most incredible views and hence why they’re called ‘spaces’ rather than suites. Each space is secluded and features a double bed and small sitting area. Fancy even more privacy? Simply press a button and panels will fall down.
With ancient baobab trees and tall acacia canopies, the lodge is clearly inspired by its naturally beautiful surroundings. With no light pollution and 180 degree views where ever you go, The Outpost will truly take you back to nature. The open air lounge and dining areas are modern and comfortable, whilst the swimming pool overlooks the verdant bush down below.
The wildlife viewing is fantastic too. Located in the north of Kruger, you’ll see fauna and flora you won’t find anywhere else in the park. We love the elegant nyala antelopes, and a trip here isn’t complete without seeing the breath taking Lanner Gorge.
