Kruger National Park, South Africa
Contemporary yet rustic, simplistic yet indulgent, Dulini River Lodge offers an opulent stay along the banks of the Sand River. Our favourite part of this lodge has to be the beautiful viewing deck – it’s not uncommon to see leopards prowling nearby as you sip on your G&T.
With only six suites, the lodge feels exclusive and intimate, with all of the suites evoking a secluded cottage feel. All of the suites have thatched roofs and white stone walls to create an airy feel, as well as luxurious décor and a large decking area with a plunge pool.
After a day of exciting game drives and walking safaris, venture to the ambient boma to dine under the stars, chatting to other travellers and swapping stories of spectacular wildlife encounters by the fire. There’s also the option to dine privately on your own veranda, with romantic lanterns and twinkling stars omitting an idyllic glow. The main lounge area is quite modern, save the rural African sculptures that add a bit of safari charm.
