Kings Camp
Kruger National Park, South Africa
Be transported back to the bygone era at Kings Camp, a lavish, old-worldly lodge nestled in the Timbavati Nature Reserve. In our eyes there’s nothing better than indulging in the lodge’s luxurious amenities whilst being amongst greater Kruger National Park’s unspoilt wilderness.
There are nine luxury suites and two honeymoon suites, all offering a colonial vibe with dark woods, opulent patterns and gold hues. The luxury suites are spacious, with a scenic veranda and outdoor hammock, whilst the effortlessly romantic honeymoon suites also feature a private waterfall plunge pool and an open plan lounge.
For large groups, we love the nearby Waterbuck Private Camp. Consisting of a four-bedroom villa with a private pool, boma and viewing deck, as well as a private chef, butler, vehicle and ranger, this is the ultimate indulgence.
If you’re a foodie you’ll love the variety of dining experiences on offer. From feasting in the traditional boma to tucking in to dinner under a large knobthron tree as hyenas watch nearby, dining at Kings Camp is an unforgettable experience.
The open plan lounge and bar is the perfect spot to relax, whilst the main pool overlooks an active waterhole regularly visited by impressive wildlife, including the incredibly rare white lion.
For a sensational South African adventure, combine Kings Camp with Cape Cadogan in Cape Town and Le Franschhoek Hotel in the Winelands. We'd recommend including a trip to Victoria Falls to add to your adventure, too.
