Pumba Water Lodge

Eastern Cape, South Africa

Lying on the banks of Lake Kariega, Pumba Water Lodge offers a warm and inviting ambience amidst the Eastern Cape’s natural beautiful surroundings. We love that this luxurious lodge still adds a touch of rustic charm, clearly inspired by the African landscapes.

There are 12 chalets altogether, all with stone walls, large thatched roofs, and their own private viewing deck fit with a lavish plunge pool. The eight Impala Chalets have the standard amenities of an earthenware fireplace, a king size bed and understated décor, whilst the two Gemsbok Chalets are larger with a lounge area and daybed. The two Kudu Suites are the most indulgent – they feature two bedrooms and even its own steam room.

The main areas are utterly charming. Overlooking luscious bushveld, you’ll enjoy the most unbelievable views as you relax in the cosy lounge. After a day of exciting game drives, we’re sure you’ll relish tucking in to freshly cooked dishes either in the stylish dining area, or outside under the stars.
