The Last Word Long Beach

Cape Town, South Africa

Picturesque, elegant, calming…The Last Word Long Beach is clearly inspired by its soothing seaside surroundings. Nestled on Long Beach – a part of the lobster fishing village of Kommetjie – this is perhaps one of South Africa’s prettiest hotels.

The hotel is quite small and remote, with two Elegant Suites on the upper floor, and one Junior Suite and three Superior Double Rooms on the lower floor. The Junior Suite is the largest and the Superior Double Rooms the smallest, but all offer stunning ocean views, a private patio, a separate lounge area, a complimentary mini-bar, and floods of light coming in through the large windows. The décor is simple and soft, with cool blues and whites adding to the seaside feel.

The hotel is breakfast only, but there is a big choice of family-orientated restaurants nearby for you to explore, all serving up wholesome meals and freshly caught seafood. Long Beach has plenty to explore, including the majestic Slangkop Lighthouse and the scenic mountain trails, and the in-house chauffeur will take you anywhere you need to go. In between exploring the area, how about relaxing in the pool or soaking up the sun on the sunning deck?
