Porini Rhino Camp
Laikipia Conservancy Areas, Kenya
Perched under shady acacia trees in the Ol Pejeta Conservancy, Porini Rhino Camp has everything a classic safari needs: comfortable, African style furnishings, gourmet food, a warm atmosphere, and little impact on the environment.
There are seven tents altogether, all non-permanent with canvas walls, solar lighting, and bright, patterned décor. Each tent is secluded, offering a lovely intimate experience, and perfectly blend into their surroundings to truly immerse you in Africa’s back-to-nature atmosphere.
The lounge and dining tent is just as cosy and inviting, with rustic wooden furnishings, and plenty of space to meet other travellers and swap exciting stories with a G&T. The activities here are incredible too, including night drives, walking safaris, a visit to Baraka the Black Rhino at the Information Centre, and a visit to the nearby Chimpanzee Sanctuary.
After an exhausting day exploring and spotting the Big Five and more, head back to camp and dine under the stars, or stay out in the conservancy longer and enjoy a wonderful sundowner right in the bush.
