Masai Mara Game Reserve, Kenya
Nestled within the unspoilt Ol Kinyei Conservancy, Porini Cheetah Camp evokes the classic safari style, with six luxury eco-tents, wonderful wildlife spotting opportunities, and stunning views. Situated far away from the usual crowds, there’ll be no one in sight as you embark on exciting game drives and walking safaris.
With only six tents altogether, the camp has an intimate feel. We love that the entire camp is solar powered – not only for small impact on the environment, but for the feeling of being in the middle of the wilderness too. This exclusive conservancy only used for Porini camps is a hotspot for big cats, especially cheetahs prowling around with their adorable cubs.
There is ample opportunity to see these magnificent creatures, including game drives, night drives, walking safaris, and a once-in-a-lifetime hot air balloon ride. Game drives aren’t just confined to one conservancy either – you’ll also have the chance to explore the Masai Mara National Reserve and the Naibosho Conservancy.
Perched between White Rock and a marsh fed by a permanent spring, beautiful African game regularly wander close to the camp for a drink, especially in the dry season. This means that you won’t have to travel far to see some impressive sights, giving you time to enjoy the delicious food created with fresh, local ingredients – including warm, home baked bread.
Porini Cheetah Camp is a unique camp in the Masai Mara, and offers mainly Indian cuisine. If this is not for you, we would recommend staying at the nearby Porini Mara Camp, also located in the Ol Kinyei Conservancy.
